I am working on affirmations so I want to say all of this in the present tense. What you tell your conscious mind comes to be so I am already:
Living healthier in 2009. I am working out 5 days a week. Even if it's just a 20 minute walk which really works here since it's an uphill climb coming back home. Gets my heartrate up big time. I am doing strength training 3 days a week. My body is already changing. I look longer and leaner. I am counting calories and drinking more water.
I am setting a goal of a quit date for the smoking. No date yet, just thinking about one. It's happening this year!
I am writing more in 2009. I am setting aside time to write each day. Not just in my blog either lol.
I am spending more time staying in contact with my family, especially my sister. This is a big one. I am making more efforts on the phone which is hard for me and writing letters.
I am clearing out the clutter in the house and selling everything in it that needs to be sold. I am making a conscious effort to do this every day.
I am being frugal in every area of my life. Not hard to do since I don't have much money these days.
I am spending less time online and more time face to face with people. More Alanon meetings and time at the coffee shop. Maybe that's where I'll get some writing and correspondence done.
I am taking more pictures and organizing my online photos. I am scanning old family photos and organizing them chronologically.
Wow, I should never say "I'm bored" again! I have a lot to do.

maybe lose weight by the end of summer(I'm a guy so if I change my eating habits..boom 2lbs gone)

Good luck sticking to your goals. They all sound attainable & your attitude is positive. The older a person gets, the harder it is to keep resolutions. Keep us posted. Hugs.

That's quite a list of change or modification.
I'm simply going to try to get back to my pre-fire weight - which means lost about 18 pounds.
18 pounds is certainly attainable Ben. I have 13 to go!!

In 2009 I want to make lots of money, because it's already been long enough and I'm not making enough.
Are you going to take some writing classes? I recently found several uni's that offer them online, for free. Let me know if you wanna know more...

i'm exercising more, trying to cut the clutter, going back to school, meditating, learning to use a camcorder, and starting to work on a geneaology project, i also want to be more adventurous so i plan to say yes more to invitations even if they make me uncomfortable (within reason of course)

Wow! I am impressed with your goals. You sure did put in a lot of thought and time in writing them- or at least it seems that way. I'm lucky if I can focus and remember daily things like doing the dishes.

Those are all very wonderful things:) I cheer you on big time for the wanting to quit smoking.Just thinking about a cigarette today, for me, makes me want to puke.
I plan to go back to work this year,lose a little more weight,meet a couple more online pals,pay off some debts and try and be as healthy as I can which is the hardest part for me.It shouldnt be so hard because unhealthy eating and sleeping habits really makes me feel like crap.*hugs*
